Physical Interfacing
A MIDS LVT Support Equipment (Ethernet) Bus “shares” the front panel J3 connector with the platform data buses. To facilitate the easy physical interfacing of PUMA to a MIDS LVT, a Support Equipment Bus breakout adapter interface is available.
The PUMA Interface Cable (PIC) enables PUMA to be interfaced to the MIDS LVT J3 connector while maintaining platform host data bus functionality. Use of an Attachment Unit Interface (AUI) Media Access Unit (MAU) is required for the Ethernet connection in accordance with the MIDS ICD.
